Furrow by Anke Loots
Photographer Anke Loots’ newest zine ‘Furrow’ explores the marks we leave behind, both physically and digitally. The zine combines abstract Google Earth imagery with photographs from Anke’s personal archive spanning many years. The project looks at patterns of human presence from furrows carved into the land to everyday traces that fade over time. Layered into these landscapes are found YouTube comments, acting as digital imprints — temporary, yet lingering, much like the land’s own history. By bringing these elements together, Furrow explores how we shape the world and how it quietly records our passage in turn.
