1995 Strip-Stripe Balloon Trousers – South Africa

The pair of trousers forms part of Good Good Good’s ‘Unsung Heroes’ Capsule Collection, which pays tribute to the Springboks’ 1995 Rugby World Cup victory. The trousers feature construction techniques borrowed from the brand’s Strip-Stripe Capsule, where offcuts are selected by hand and cut down to strips, before being sewn together two at a time, then ironed straight, before adding any more.  Eventually, the sheet of Strip-Stripe fabric is large enough to cut the panels of the trousers from. These trousers are inspired by the colours of the 1995 Springbok rugby kit, and feature embroideries of Francois Pienaar’s number 6 and Good Good Good’s RWC logo, all illustrated by Yay Abe.

• 4 pleats in the front and 2 darts in the back

• The hems on the legs of the trousers are pleated, tapering the trousers near the ankle, with 2 fastening options at the hems
