Calla X Good Good Good Niki Babouches – Sandstone & Black Cotton

This one-of-one pair of babouches is a collaboration between Cape Town-based clothing brand Good Good Good and Parisian footwear brand Calla. The outer of each pair of babouches forming part of this collaboration is woven out fabric off-cuts from textiles used over the past decade of Good Good Good collections. The textiles offcuts are woven into a rug before being made into these shoes by hand in Marrakech, Morocco. This pair features Sandstone kikoi, a South African-milled 100% cotton textile used in Good Good Good’s SS21 Hope Collection, and a black cotton textile sourced from Calla’s artisans’ studio in Marrakech.

This collaboration forms part of Good Good Good’s greater zero-waste initiative, aimed at curbing fabric waste from their factory in Cape Town.
