Now That I’m A Household Name by Matthew Freemantle

US$19

Following the success of his first collection of poems titled The Complete Works of William Shakespeare, Matthew Freemantle has come to embrace his new status as a household name. This has prompted his second book, also published by The National Railway, titled Now That I’m A Household Name. In this new collection, Freemantle returns with more literary doodles, allowing the reader to peak into the mind of a man who has achieved a relative level of fame. Despite this, everyone can relate to Matthew’s witty observations about Cape Town and life in the 21st century. Amongst the many people who have bought a book and giggled at his words are two-time Webb Ellis Trophy winner Damian Willemse, as well as global cricketing superstar Virat Kohli (potentially, although we cannot prove that one).
We are proud to say that we are the first store to have stocked both of Matthew’s publications, and even prouder to be neighbours of his bagel shop/wine bar, Max Bagels/Leo’s Wine Bar.
