Max Bagels 10th Birthday T-Shirt

This T-shirt forms part of a small collaborative capsule with Max Bagels, our Bree Street’s foremost bagel spot and our neighbours at Duck Duck Goose, in celebration of their 10th birthday. After a decade serving a bustling, tight-knit community on Bree Street, Max Bagels has solidified itself in the “institution” category. Our first food-related collaborative project with Max Bagels took place in 2016, two years after Daniel met the owners of the business by visiting every day during his lunch breaks in his previous life as a training accountant. In 2020, Max Bagels co-owner Matthew Freemantle helped us secure Duck Duck Goose’s lease at 120 Bree Street, right next to the bagel shop. This capsule is rooted in a decade-long friendship, community, bagels and the institution that provided us with those things.
Illustrated by Shaun Hill, the back graphic features a matured version of the original Max Bagels logo, and the front features an illustration of the classic brown paper bag that they package their bagels in. For this capsule, Good Good Good also released a waxed canvas replica of the bag, called the Bagel Bag.
This T-shirt is cut from a 100% Southern African-sourced cotton single-jersey textile in the silhouette of the brand’s Heavy T-Shirt, and made in their 30-year-old heritage manufacturing facility. The T-shirt is made to fit oversized, but can be sized down as well.
